Back to Uni Wishlist

With September fast approaching, the all-exciting back-to-school/college/uni shopping haul is almost upon us. I’ve always loved the annual stationary spree, but adding homely bits and pieces to the mix for the uni room makes the occasion all the more fun.

Stationary

Stationary: Mini Pegs – Wilko, Cardboard Desk Tidy – Wilko, Plastic Note Books – Paperchase, Rose Gold Star Push Pins – Paperchase, Purr Maids USB Stick – Paperchase, Lexi Magnetic Bookmark Clips – WHSmith, Floral Pencil Case – Cath Kidston, Geometric A4 Stacking Tray – Not On The Highstreet, Cactus Desk Tidy – Not On The Highstreet, Heart Desk Tidy – Not On The Hightstreet

Paperchase has always been one of my no. 1 favourites for cute stationary collections. I absolutely adore their current ‘Purrmaids’ collection, featuring this quirky memory-stick and these metallic seaside themed notebooks. Cat meets mermaid; what could possibly be any better combination? Also from Paperchase, these rose gold star shaped push pins are a much more fun way to display pieces on notice boards, making the room feel so much more homely. Cath Kidston are renowned for their beautiful prints and this floral pencil case is one I’d love to add to my ever growing collection of pencil cases. At such affordable prices, Wilko has recently become one of my favourable shops for just about everything homeware. These mini pegs are an alternative way to bookmark pages or simply hang up pictures to make the room feel more friendly. I’m a great fan of using desk tidies to organise papers, books and pens. A variety of prints and textures brighten the room and they come in all shapes and sizes too!

Kitchen: Weekly Planner – Wilko, Heart  Shaped Chopping Board – Wilko, Oval Pie Dish – Wilko, Tomato Sauce Bottle – Lakeland, Pyramid Tarrarium – Urban Outfitters, Mugs Set of 4 – Cath Kidston, Copper/concrete pot with cactus – Not On The Highstreet, Embroidered Cushion – Urban Outfitters, Owl Doorstop – Not on The Highstreet

Online store Not On The Highstreet is a wonderful place to buy pretty gifts and homely pieces. These cacti from NOTH are a simple  way to embellish the room; I love the contrast between the copper and concrete materials. Also from NOTH, this owl doorstop is a homely way to prop your door open, especially if you’re in halls. Keeping your door propped allows you to mingle with your flatmates so much more easier during the first few days after moving in. Cushions are another way to enhance uni rooms, making them feel so much more warm and welcoming. This Urban Outfitters embroidered cushion’s detail is so delicate and intricate whilst the colours harmonise so softly and beautifully. This Wilko heart shaped chopping board adds a dainty touch to the kitchen whilst this Lakeland ketchup bottle looks humorous and fun. Small dishes like this from Wilko are perfect for cooking meals such as pasta bakes or toad in the holes whilst the weekly planner seems a great way to plan meals for the week, ensuring that no food goes wasted.
