Top Summer Sale Items Under £10

Just in case you haven’t yet noticed, shops everywhere, both online and on the highstreet, have some pretty major sales on. With August well under way, the summer may seem like it’s coming to an end, but the mid-season summer sales are the ideal time to bag some fabulous bargains for next year, not to mention that so many pieces are so easy to transition into Autumn with. Here’s the pieces under £10 that I’m lusting over.

Untitled-1

Berry Red Cord Pinafore – Boohoo – £10

Easy to style with any shade of tee underneath, this berry red pinafore is perfect for transitioning into Autumn. Pair with ankle boots or sandles; short sleeves or long sleeves; tights or lace trimmed socks – the options seem endless. The colour is rich and warm whilst the pockets and buttons add for dainty details.

Lace Up Ruffle Top – Miss Selfridge – £7

A pastel pink tone softly harmonises with a gentle ruffle which works to enhance the striking, plunging V-neckline. The sharpness of this cut is emphasised by the lace up detail, yet contrasted with the gentleness in which the fabric of the top falls. Pair this with jeans and a chunky cardigan for transitioning into Autumn.

Embroidered Crop Top – Pretty Little Thing – £10

Delicate embroidery has become a popular trend this summer, particularly floral embellishments. This floral embroidery enhances the neckline in an entrancing way as one beautifully embroidered flower leads fluently into another. The use of purple as the only colour against the black canvas works strikingly, really dramatising the stunning embroidery.

Embroidered Scallop Hem Shorts – New Look – £7

As opposed to the previous top, the embroidery here adorns the whole of the shorts, creating a variation of gorgeous patterns and motifs. The colours are soft and gentle, subtly harmonising with one another whilst the scallop hem enhances the daintiness and softness of the shorts.

Scallop wrap front Skirt – Boohoo  – £6

If you’ve read many of my most recent posts, you’d know how obsessed I am with A-line mini skirts right now. I love the asymmetry of this light blue number. The variation of the straight hem and the scalloped hem is such a small change in detail yet makes such an interesting dynamic. The scallop and button combo emphasises a soft and calming tone, harmonising with the shade of blue. For Autumn transitioning, pair with a high neck long sleeve top and fur gilet.

Tropical Print Skirt – New Look – £5

Bright and exuberant, tropical prints are always a must for summer. The bold print of this midi skirt is so striking as leaf and flower shapes are placed almost chaotically, overlapping one another dramatically, fighting for dominance. The choice of colours are loud and dramatic, contrasting beautifully. For early Autumn evenings, pair with a plain cami top and leather jacket.
